HAIR IN REVOLT, 2018

A photographic discourse on uncontrolled hair. Hair has and always had a political dimension, which becomes visible in the field of tension between society, religion and state. Society can influence where hair has to grow and whether and how it may be shown. In this work, real hair is exchanged with artificial ones, merged, or moved to new places. Part of the work was exhibited from June to August 2018 in the hair salon of the Salzamt Linz.

HAARSPALTEREI, 2017 

Just by changing the hairstyle, the same woman moves between hijab wearer and Madonna. With the never-ending headscarf debate, there is a social discussion about what women* should and should not wear, and thus once again a political issue is being played out on women‘s bodies. Women*, who are actually affected by this, hardly get a chance to speak. The work was on view in 2017 as part of the  ALOHA AKBAR Poster Exhibition - Wandzeitung/ Steinbrener, Dempf & Huber in Vienna.
