M.C.Monster* is a queer and intersectional feminist media club and art collective founded by Judith Gattermayr, Rebekka Hochreiter and Melanie Ludwig. Together we explore the fantastic genre (Fantasy, SciFi, Horror) focusing on Horror. In our regular meetings we invite interested FLINTA* to watch and discuss films and read texts about these themes. We also organize lectures and workshops, offer excursions to the theatre, exhibitions and film festivals.

As a collective we also work on joint art projects, including performances and various exhibition formats. The title giving „monster“ serves us as a tool for an intersectional and queer feminist analysis of science and artistic production, enabling the questioning of existing norms and the creation of alternative narratives.

We see M.C.Monster* as a collective experiment that merges art, theory and activism.

FIFTITU%, the Networking Center for FLINTA* in Arts and Culture in Upper Austria supports M.C.Monster* by hosting and supporting our events.
